TSC Opens Internship Opportunities for Recent Graduates
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has opened applications for its 2025 internship program, inviting qualified graduates to apply. The initiative is designed to equip young professionals with hands-on experience, build their skills, and increase their chances of employment in a highly competitive job market.
TSC plans to recruit graduates to fill 30 internship positions across various departments. These include 5 slots in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) unit, 10 in Human Resource Management and Development, 13 in Records Management, and 2 in the Counselling department.
According to a notice from the commission, “In accordance with the Government’s Internship Policy and Guidelines for the Public Service, the Commission seeks to provide practical training opportunities for eligible youth in different fields to help them gain valuable work experience that will boost their professional capabilities and career prospects.”
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens between 21 and 35 years old, holding either a diploma or a degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
In addition, candidates must have completed their studies within the past two to five years, be currently unemployed, and possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct at the time of placement.
Applicants who have already completed internships within the public sector are not eligible.
The internship will last for a duration of twelve months, and participants are expected to commit to the entire period unless exceptional circumstances arise.
Successful candidates must also secure valid personal accident and medical insurance coverage for the duration of their internship.
Although the internship is not a salaried position, the commission will provide a monthly stipend of Ksh 25,000 to each intern.
